LOU currently operates group homes throughout Northern New Jersey. Our homes are just that, they are truly homes. A setting that provides a supportive environment and allows our clients to develop interests and hobbies; all while building independence. We take pride in the way our homes present and the lives our clients lead.

Our Properties

Our group homes are single family houses located in lovely, upscale suburban communities. These homes operate on a single gender or co-ed basis. Each residence is home to 4-5 individuals. Rather than building homes specifically for our use, LOU purchases homes and maintains their inherent charm. We acquire homes and modernize, as well as retrofit, the property to meet the current and changing needs of the individuals, who reside within.

What is exactly is a group home?

A group home is defined as a home in which a small number of unrelated individuals reside who require support. While the technical objective of a group home is to keep the residents safe and to provide for their basic needs, LOU’s further objective is to enrich their lives and help each client to develop to his or her greatest potential.

Not just a Residential Provider

Many Residential Providers simply provide housing for their clients. At LOU, we have a true understanding of our role in our client’s lives. Our administration and staff go to extreme lengths facilitating programs to allow our clients to be true members of the individual communities, in which they reside.
